Our Valued Partners

Our work at Northern Kenya Fund would not have been possible without the support of our partners. Together, we have achieved so much. Our combined efforts have not only made education more accessible but have also revolutionized it across the region. We truly value these partnerships and are incredibly proud to continue this journey with them.

MARY CATHERINE BUTNING FOUNDATION

We are grateful to the Mary Catherine Bunting (MCB) Foundation for enabling us to expand our support for young women in this region. MCB has made it possible to launch a county-wide mentoring program that fosters self-empowerment among high-achieving students, making mentorship an integral part of their personal and academic development.

Through this program, we are empowering girls to thrive and realize their full potential. They are guided to articulate their visions and goals, while we support them through training in essential life skills—helping them grow into confident, self-aware young women.

MCB also provides our girl beneficiaries with sanitary pads to help them overcome the shame associated with periods. Additionally, our girls benefit from Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) lessons, which help them understand their bodies and make wise, informed decisions

ARTHUR B. SCHULTZ FOUNDATION FOUNDATION(ABSF)

Over the past sixteen years. Arthur B.Schultz Foundation ABSF) support has been instrumental in advancing education in Northern Kenya, particularly for high school girls. We are deeply grateful for ABSF’S invaluable partnership and commitment to empowering young women and contributing to the development of Northern Kenya.

ABSF focuses on covering school fees for high school girls and even supported four pioneer students from North-Horr Girls through university. Over time, their support has expanded to strengthen girls’ capacity to excel in national examinations through provision of textbooks and revision materials.

ABSF helps schools hire science teachers—an intervention that has significantly improved resources, academic performance, and student motivation.

At Northern Kenya Fund (NKF) we strive to instil the value of giving back by encouraging our students to pursue teaching and nursing degrees and return to serve in local schools. This approach has already led to a meaningful increase in the number of females working within our communities and providing these critical services.

AMPLIFY GIRLS

Amplify Girls is a collective of community-driven organizations dedicated to localizing global development and investing in adolescent girls. It strengthens Community-Driven Organizations (CDOs) by mobilizing resources for shared outcomes and organizing development. Additionally, Amplify Girls mobilizes voices to showcase the impact of CDOs and redirect global investment towards locally led, locally driven organizations.

Our organization, Chalbi Scholars, is a proud member of the Amplify Girls Network. We are especially grateful for the support our girls have received through high school via the Amplify Girls Education and Innovation Fund. Among the notable students supported are twins Sabdio Yatani and Botu Yatani. Their story is particularly inspiring, as they not only survived the Gabra cultural practice of abandoning twins at birth but also gained access to education through the support of Amplify Girls.

We truly appreciate Amplify Girls for fostering and enriching collaborative networks that amplify the work of CDOs, ultimately leading to a shift in investment towards locally led organizations.

CREATIVE ACTION INSTITUTE

We are excited to partner with the Creative Action Institute through the Sauti ya Dada program. This program provides safe spaces for adolescent girls to access and exchange information and tools that help them activate and grow their leadership skills. Sauti ya Dada is designed to support girls in learning, discovering, and developing their agency to contribute to positive change in their communities, countries, and the world.

We are excited to announce that in 2025, CAI has extended the Sauti ya Dada program to North-Horr Girls' Secondary School. This expansion into another school within our service area is a testament to the strong trust and effective working relationship we have established with CAI.

To further enhance the capacity of our mentors, CAI also support specialized training initiatives. In line with
